Founding Elite 8 applications are open · Cohort begins August 10, 2026
The flagship experience

Only eight athletes.

The deepest Kuwa Bora experience: August through March, personally led by Coach Hood and built around the complete student-athlete.

Why eight

Depth before scale.

Coach Hood will know each athlete’s game, role, strengths, limitations, school schedule, training history, physical status, priorities, aspirations, and family expectations.

Every athlete receives an individualized Player Blueprint—not a generic program distributed to a large group. Final selection is based on grade availability, readiness, schedule compatibility, family alignment, and Coach Hood’s capacity to serve the athlete properly.

November through March

Perform through the school season.

Training shifts from building volume to maintaining availability, refining skill, understanding film, supporting recovery, and keeping the inner game elite.

Two to four weekly touchpoints

Combinations of individual or paired skill refinement, strength maintenance, movement quality, film study, game attendance, recovery guidance, player conversations, and digital check-ins.

AIA-aware scheduling

In-season basketball instruction must remain within current AIA nonschool-participation requirements. Families are expected to coordinate with their school athletic director when questions arise.

What is included

A complete mentorship.

Player development

Progressive shooting, handling, finishing, live-dribble creation, reads, reactions, role execution, and decision-making.

Athletic performance

Strength, movement quality, speed, vertical development, lateral movement, recovery, and age-appropriate physical preparation.

Film & game observation

Training film, available game film, recurring review, current film themes, and intended attendance at approximately 25% of home games in Maricopa County.

Player Blueprint

Current strengths, priorities, skill focus, physical focus, decision-making focus, mindset, objectives, and monthly summary.

Academic accountability

Twice-monthly grade checks that reinforce honesty, organization, and early awareness without presenting Kuwa Bora as a school or tutoring company.

Athlete Identity

Parent-controlled account structure, recruiting-ready biography, three-pillar framework, content execution, secure archive, and long-term athlete storytelling.
