Most serious young players have a team coach, maybe a trainer, maybe a lifting plan, and nobody connecting any of it. Reps without direction. Film nobody watches with them. Strength work that ignores the season. Kuwa Bora exists to put one plan and one coaching relationship over the whole thing.
An Individual Development Plan built around the player's identity, level, schedule, and season, then rebuilt as the player changes.

Coach Hood spent years inside PJF Performance, rising from intern to Head Trainer and running full off-season training sessions alongside Paul Fabritz with NBA players, including MVPs and the best shooters of a generation: James Harden, Buddy Hield, Shabazz Napier, Tyus Jones, and NBL shooting star Tyler Harvey. Since then he has run professional training sessions, pro open runs, coached pro-am league teams, and directed multiple NBA pre-draft performance training camps.

PJF Performance, intern to Head Trainer under Paul Fabritz. Personally certified in Donnie Raimon's biomechanics course. Observed numerous Division 1 practices up close, including blue bloods Arizona and Michigan State.
Former CIF and AIA head varsity basketball coach who took over a program at its lowest point and built the standard and foundation that became a state championship. The whistle, the locker room, and the season, not just the workout.
He has coached and trained every level of player: high school, Division 1, 2 and 3, NAIA, NBA, Olympians, Final Four Most Outstanding Players, a Naismith Player of the Year, and an NBA MVP. Kuwa Bora is all of it, organized into one system any player can climb.
From the CEO he trained NBA players beside, to the athletes he developed. In their words.

CEO / Founder, PJF Performance
“Coach Hood is highly respected by the entire PJF clientele ranging from our top NBA players right down to the youth and parents who support them.”
Without hesitation, I would say that Coach Hood is one of the most well rounded professionals whom I’ve worked with. As a head trainer he demonstrated an extraordinary level of competence with little to no direction needed. He has a natural feel for interacting with people, is an amazing communicator and demonstrates a strong ability for leadership. Additionally, Coach Hood is highly respected by the entire PJF clientele ranging from our top NBA players right down to the youth and parents who support them. Coach Hood began working at PJF as an intern and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a head trainer and assisted with managing the day to day operations. It was clear that Coach Hood had many impressive abilities outside of solely training, which proved extremely valuable in many different areas of the business. His presence as a professional and leader is complemented by his ability to connect with others. Clients saw him not only as a trainer but also a friendly person with whom they could easily approach with questions or concerns. This balance is not an easy one to strike, yet Skyler did this naturally and effortlessly.

Former Division I basketball player at Northern Arizona and Notre Dame
“Coach Hood is obsessed. I’m a D1 athlete, and I know you can’t fake passion and love for the art of basketball… It’s been a pleasure working with someone who is knowledgeable and selfless in his teaching.”
Coach Hood is obsessed. I’m a D1 athlete, and I know you can’t fake passion and love for the art of basketball and all of its unique variables. He understands the mental components the game brings as well as the functionality of movement patterns that the game also brings. From jump shooting, to breath work, to mindset, it’s been a pleasure working with someone who is knowledgeable and selfless in his teaching. It’s hard to find trainers who know their stuff, and are able to effectively communicate to make an impact on your game, and your life.

“That feeling is unmatched when hard work turns into something real, when you attain a goal you thought was unattainable… Coach Hood, thank you.”
Freshman year I joined this basketball program at its lowest point… now I leave it winning a championship. I still really can't believe it. That feeling is unmatched when hard work turns into something real, when you attain a goal you thought was unattainable… Coach Hood, thank you.
