Kuwa Bora Basketball FAQ
Straight answers.
Everything families ask before starting: the free Player Build, Online Coaching, the Phoenix Residency, and how billing works.
The Player Build
What is the Player Build?
A free four minute assessment that rates six attributes and captures three identities: the build the player has, the build they are chasing, and the build their coach expects. It produces an instant shareable Build Card and the full Player Blueprint by email.
Is the Build a talent rating or ranking?
No. It reflects self-reported answers and identity at a point in time. It is a coaching foundation, not a talent grade, medical assessment, or recruiting projection.
What happens with the result?
The Build is the foundation. Every Online Coaching client is then onboarded directly with their coach to review where they are, where they are going, and the exact plan to get there.
Online Coaching
What does Online Coaching include?
One complete membership: an Individual Development Plan, 3 to 4 days per week of strength and athleticism programmed in 4 to 12 week blocks, intentional player development focuses across shooting, ball handling, and defensive and offensive awareness, weekly video review with specific coaching feedback, direct messaging with one business day responses, a Monthly Development Report for the family, and Performance Mindset coaching.
How much is Online Coaching?
$449 per month, in USD. Monthly, cancel before the next billing date, no contracts or setup fees. Members can later add live one-on-one call access and full game reviews through the members-only Coaching Access Ladder, confirmed personally by Coach Hood.
Who coaches the athlete?
Coach Hood leads the system, the onboarding, and every coach assignment. Athletes are coached by Coach Hood or an assigned Kuwa Bora coach delivering the same standard. Today, Coach Hood is the assigned coach.
Who is it for, and where?
Serious athletes age 13 and up in the United States, Canada, and Australia. A parent or legal guardian enrolls minors. Prices are in USD.
Can it work during the season?
Yes. Priorities and workload adjust around practices, games, travel, school, and fatigue instead of treating the season like an offseason block.
How does cancellation work?
Cancel before the next billing date to stop future renewal. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law, with one exception: if Kuwa Bora declines an enrollment during the one business day fit review, the subscription is canceled and fully refunded before coaching begins.
The Residency · Phoenix
What is the Residency?
Kuwa Bora in person: four 90 minute sessions every week, personally coached by Coach Hood, with the complete online system included. Application only, for committed Phoenix-area players age 13 to 19.
How do we apply?
Start on the Residency page and answer three eligibility questions. Qualified families see full details immediately and book a qualification call with Coach Hood.
Family standards
How is a minor athlete protected?
A parent or legal guardian enrolls, signs the Participation Agreement at onboarding, and holds the account. Coaching communication happens through the enrolled channels, parents can access any communication involving their athlete, and nothing about an athlete is ever published without separate written parent permission. Full details live in the Privacy Policy.
Does coaching replace medical care?
No. Injury context collected at onboarding is used only to program safely. Evaluation, diagnosis, and clearance belong with a licensed healthcare professional.
Can Arizona ESA funds be used?
Arizona families may be able to apply ESA funds toward eligible coaching. See the Arizona ESA page or ask before enrolling.
Still deciding?
Start with the athlete, not the package.
The free Player Build shows the biggest gap first. Coaching closes it.
